Kingsley State Bank (KSB) Mobile Deposit FAQ

What is the Kingsley State Bank Mobile Deposit service?

With Kingsley State Bank Mobile Deposit you can make a deposit directly into your eligible checking or savings account anywhere, anytime, using the KSB Mobile App on your smartphone/mobile device.

Is the Mobile Deposit safe?

At KSB, we use advanced encryption and security technology:

  • Online banking credentials are not stored on your mobile device.
  • Check images are not stored on your mobile device.
  • You view accounts by nicknames you can define, not by account numbers.
  • 128-bit encryption masks your sensitive information.

Remember for added security, always sign off completely when you finish using the Kingsley State Bank app by selecting Log Out.

What are the requirements to use the Mobile Deposit service?

You must be signed up for Online Banking services and have the KSB App downloaded on your mobile device. If you are not currently an Online Banking user, click here to enroll.

How do I get Mobile Deposit?

Kingsley State Bank Mobile Deposit (“Mobile Deposit”) is supported on Apple devices with an Operating System of 5.0 or higher and Android Based devices with an Operating System of 2.1.1 or higher

You can download the KSB Mobile Banking App by visiting the Apple App Store™ or Google Play™ and searching for Kingsley State Bank.

How does Mobile Deposit work?

Sign on to your KSB Mobile App then follow these simple steps:

  1. Select the deposit function.
  2. For first-time users, you will be taken through a short enrollment process, including the KSB Mobile Deposit Service Agreement.
  3. Take a picture of the front and back of your endorsed check with your mobile device. For photos that work best, follow these guidelines:
    • Place your check on a dark-colored, plain surface that’s well lit
    • Position your camera directly over the check (not at an angle)
    • Fit all 4 corners in the guides of your mobile device’s camera screen
  4. Select the account you wish to deposit to.
  5. Enter the amount of the check.
  6. Submit your deposit.
  7. You’ll receive a confirmation message on your mobile device for each successful submission.

Are there limits on the deposits I can make?

You can make multiple deposits in a single mobile session. Each check is considered a separate deposit. There is no limit to the number of checks you can deposit in a day. The dollar amount is limited to $2,500.00 per day.

What types of checks can I deposit?

You can deposit checks payable in U.S. dollars and drawn at any U.S. bank, including personal, business, and government checks. They must also be payable to, and endorsed by, the account holder.

Items not eligible for Mobile Deposit include International checks, U.S. savings bonds, U.S. postal money orders, remotely created checks (whether in paper form or electronically created), traveler’s checks, convenience checks (checks drawn against a line of credit), and cash.

What are the cut-off times for deposits made with Mobile Deposit?

Images of Items transmitted by Depositor are not considered received by KSB until Depositor has received an electronic confirmation of the receipt of the deposit from KSB. However, receipt of the confirmation from KSB does not mean that the transmission was error free or complete. Items transmitted by the Depositor and received by KSB or its subcontractors by 3:00 p.m. Central Standard Time (“CST”) Monday through Friday, shall be credited to the Depositor’s applicable account on the same Banking Day. Items received by KSB after 3:00 p.m. CST on any Banking Day shall be credited to the Depositor’s applicable account on the next successive Banking Day. We will make funds available for checks and items received, accepted, and successfully processed through the Service according to our standard funds availability policy for your Mobile Deposit Account. Do I need to endorse the deposited checks?

Yes, electronically deposited checks still require proper endorsement on the front and back of your check. Front – For Mobile Deposit Only. Back – Your signature endorsement.

How will I know if there’s a problem with my mobile deposit after I submit it?

If a problem arises with your deposit, such as a returned check, we will contact you at the phone number or email address we have on file for you. We may also contact you via KSB Online Banking or KSB Business Online Banking or other communication channels at our discretion. It is important to always update your contact information with Kingsley State Bank to ensure that we can reach you should the need arise.

What should I do with my paper check after using mobile deposit?

After depositing your check using Mobile Deposit, please securely store your check for 30 days after your deposit, and then destroy it. This allows sufficient time in case the original check is required for any reason.

Are there fees for using Mobile Deposit?

The Mobile Deposit service is provided at no charge to you. We may, upon at least 30 days prior notice to you, to the extent required by applicable law, charge a fee for use of the Service.

Please check with your wireless provider about carrier and web access charges.

  1. Your mobile carrier's message and data rates may apply.
  2. Your balance may not reflect all of your transactions, such as checks you have written or debit card transactions that have been approved but not yet submitted for payment by the merchant.
  3. Other fees associated with your account may apply; such as those for returned items or overdrafts. You should consult Kingsley State Bank’s fee schedule and deposit account agreement for further information regarding fees applicable to your account.
